Julia Burdick-Will and Kiara Nerenberg's recent study on school violence and transfer rates receives press coverage by the American Educational Research Association, District Administration, and K-12 Dive.
Julia Burdick-Will and Kiara Nerenberg’s most recent publication in the American Education Research Journal was announced in a press release by the American Educational Research Association, which can be found here. Their study, entitled “Student mobility and violent crime exposure at Baltimore City public elementary schools,” finds that higher rates of school violence increases the likelihood of elementary students transferring schools, especially for more advantaged students. The District Administration and K-12 Dive also published articles covering the study and quoted Burdick-Will. Read these articles here and here.
