Stefanie DeLuca interviewed on the research behind Family Stability and Opportunity Vouchers Act

Opportunity Starts at Home, a campaign which advocates for solutions to homelessness and housing instability, interviewed PIRL director Stefanie DeLuca on the qualitative research behind the recently introduced Family Stability and Opportunity Vouchers Act.  DeLuca discussed the critical findings from the Creating Moves to Opportunity experiment in Seattle and King County, Washington, including the need for better communication between landlords, housing authority staff, and voucher recipients, as well as the significant effect customized supports had on families' ability to move to opportunity.  She said it will be important to consider these findings as the Department of Housing and Urban Development continues preparations for their housing mobility demonstration.
