The virtual event will take place on Monday, September 22, from 2:00 – 3:30 PM ET. The webinar will feature the study committee members will discuss the report’s findings and the future of U.S. research and policy.

Hosted by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM), this webinar will highlight Economic and Social Mobility, a new consensus study from the Committee on Population and the Committee on National Statistics. This report provides a “forward-looking framework for data, research, and policy initiatives designed to boost upward mobility and help fulfill the promise of opportunity and advancement for all members of U.S. society.”

As a member of the study committee, Dr. DeLuca, alongside her colleagues, will discuss the report’s findings, conclusions, and recommendations addressing areas shaping mobility today, such as: (1) Early Life and Family; (2) Space and Place; (3) Postsecondary Education; (4) Wealth, Credit, and Debt; and (5) Data Infrastructure.
