Brianna So
Research Program Coordinator
Brianna is a Research Program Coordinator at the Poverty and Inequality Research Lab. At PIRL, Brianna helps facilitate collaboration between team members at different research sites, conduct and maintain data collection, assist with data analysis, and support the various projects at PIRL.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Brianna holds a B.A. in Sociology and International Studies with a minor in Social Policy from the Johns Hopkins University. She wrote her senior paper on the history of rental housing conditions in Baltimore City. Previously, Brianna interned at the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (HHS OIG) where she helped to analyze HHS internal data and review court filings to determine the number and status of separated children in ORR care. Brianna has also presented her research on housing instability and hypertension as a Bloomberg Distinguished Professor Undergraduate Research Awardee at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Equity. She also volunteered as a Campus Coordinator at Health Leads Baltimore, connecting hospital patients with various community resources. In her spare time, Brianna enjoys woodworking, hiking, and eating her way up to Yelp Elite.
