Kavina Peters is a Predoctoral Research Fellow at the Poverty and Inequality Research Lab. She graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Environmental Economics and Policy and a minor in Data Science. With the team at PIRL, she dissects life-history interviews to pinpoint how social networks and social capital inform economic mobility. In her other work, she focuses on postsecondary goals and career aspirations---specifically their variance across gender and birth cohort. Outside of work, Kavina loves sewing, gardening, and biking around the city.
