Alexi Williams

Alexi Williams is a doctoral student in Sociology at Johns Hopkins University. Her research broadly concerns neighborhoods and schools, and the relationship between the two. This includes an interest in understanding the interaction between social structures and individual decision-making on residential and school enrollment patterns. 

Academic background

Alexi Williams holds a B.A. in Slavic Languages and Literatures from the University of Chicago and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan. Prior to coming to Hopkins, Alexi worked in education research at the American Institutes for Research and at youth-serving nonprofits and public schools in Minnesota's Twin Cities, New York City, and Chicago. In her free time, she can often be found conducting experiments in the kitchen or exploring the Baltimore food-scene.
