Arushi Sharma

Arushi Sharma is an undergraduate student at Johns Hopkins University studying Public Health and Natural Sciences. 

Arushi is an undergraduate student at Johns Hopkins University studying Public Health and Natural Sciences. Her research interests focus on how community-based approaches can help understand disparities in education, public health, and access to opportunity. She is especially interested in how social conditions shape individual outcomes and how research can better reflect the experiences of the communities it aims to serve. At PIRL, she works on the HAIL study. Outside of PIRL, Arushi is involved with Hopkins Community Connection, the Hopkins Emergency Response Organization, and the Center for Social Concern. In her free time, Arushi enjoys trying new restaurants, spending time with friends, and travelling.

Research interests: Health equity, social and behavioral determinants of health, community-engaged research, educational disparities, and health justice.
