Beata Desselle

Beata Desselle is an undergraduate student at the Johns Hopkins University studying International Studies and Economics.

Beata Desselle is an undergraduate research assistant for PIRL majoring in international studies and economics. She has worked for the New Orleans Business Alliance doing research in business development, and now looks forward to broadening her research capabilities with the PIRL team. Beata is a currently a junior at Johns Hopkins University and is also participating in Johns Hopkins’ School for Advanced International Studies’ five-year MA/BA program, meaning she will start graduate school in China in the fall of 2021. At Hopkins, Beata has leadership roles in organizations such as Female Leaders of Color, the Economics Policy Issues Colloquium, and ¡Baila! Latin dance team. She is a New Orleanian through and through, with a passion for dance, baking, and long-haired cats.
