Ivy Wang

Ivy Wang is an undergraduate student at The Johns Hopkins University studying international studies and economics.

Ivy Wang is an international studies and economics major at Johns Hopkins University.  On campus, Ivy is part of the Foreign Affairs Symposium, Global China Connection, and Women in Business.  She also works as a summer tour guide.  Ivy has previously worked on international financial economics research with Professor Steve Hanke, food insecurity & rural inequality research with Bloomberg Distinguished Professor Jessica Fanzo, and managed retreat as a policy response to climate change/flooding research at the 21st Century Cities Initiative.  In her spare time, she loves reading, writing, and traveling.  At PIRL, Ivy hopes to learn more about the intersection between economic policy and the nuanced methodology/perspective of qualitative interviews.  In the future, Ivy hopes to make contributions to the field of international development.

Research Interests: international development, inequality, political economy of climate change

Favorite Places in Baltimore: Hampden and Mt. Vernon, especially the walk between Mt. Vernon and campus--it's scenic "Baltimore" and if you take you're time, it's a treasure trove!
