Renee Wu
Renee Wu recently graduated from Johns Hopkins University with majors in Economics, Sociology, and International Studies.
Renee is a member of the Johns Hopkins Class of 2025. She is passionate about advancing social and economic justice, with hands-on experience supporting families navigating trauma, instability, and financial hardship—including asylum seekers, low-income youth, and formerly incarcerated individuals—through her work with community organizations across Baltimore.
Renee is also committed to using research to inform the design and implementation of more equitable social policies. During her recent internship with the National Academy of Social Insurance, she gained experience in policy research and advocacy focused on Social Security, workers’ compensation, and Medicare. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, hiking and finding the best coffee shops in every city she visits.
