Saanvi Kapu

Saanvi is an undergraduate student at Johns Hopkins (Class of 2029) pursuing a degree in Public Health Studies. Her main research interests focus on how social determinants of health shape who does and does not have access to care, and how interventions can be designed to reach the people who need them most. She is especially interested in studying how structural inequality shapes health and opportunity across the life course, and how community-grounded research can be translated into policy and practice that actually reduces disparities by race and income.

Outside of PIRL, Saanvi is a tutor at the Center for Social Concern’s Tutorial Project Program, an Advancement volunteer for the Maryland School for the Blind, and a college advising Fellow at Matriculate.
